 Anna’s
career began when in 1979 she trained and qualified at Chelsea School
of Art in Interior and Environmental Design (SIAD, Dip AD). In order
to enhance her technical abilities she worked in turn for the decorating
businesses of Jean Monro, Green & Abbott and Nina Campbell before
launching Anna Jeffreys Interior Design and Decoration in 1984 in
London.
Anna offers a comprehensive interior design and decoration service,
tailored entirely to client requirements. Her traditional style
encompasses contemporary elements with an emphasis on detail and
comfort.
The general process applied, tailored to suit the client and the
scale of works proposed, might include -
- An initial site meeting to establish and discuss
the client brief
- The supply of design proposals and a preliminary
specification to include samples of materials, preliminary sketches,
suggestions and ideas for final decorative finishes including
fabrics, curtain and furniture design, upholstery, flooring, lighting,
wallpapers and paint, fabrics, trimmings, carpets etc
- Architectural, historical and product research.
Tendering for the involvement of an architect, building contractor
and general contractors
- The supply of a full specification, detailed
estimate and costs, and programme of works to cover all design
proposals and coordination of all trades involved
- Ongoing project and site management
Anna’s client portfolio includes individuals
who have required her services in private and business residential
property. She works closely with her clients enabling her to better
understand and interpret their requirement and aspirations.
